This is basically a hidden gem in Huntsville. If you want authentic Jamaican food this is the spot. You just walk up to the window, place your order, and wait. They are professional even though there is not a lot of southern hospitality but trust when you eat the food you won't care. Everything on the menu is amazing and they've been around for YEARS. I was in college in the 90s and this was the spot everyone went after college parties to eat because no one else was open. Go go go!! You won't regret it. The portions are HUGE!! We got curry chicken this time and couldn't finish. They were out of plantains though. I was sad about that part. Lol
I attempted to try this place, but the customer service was trash. Im not expecting red carpet to be rolled out, but at least greet a customer and ask to take their order. I see another review about bad customer, and their response was, "sorry we didn't satisfy your high standards". Well if giving good customer service is a "high standard", and not a natuaral thing to do as a business, then I sure don't want to do business there. I heard the food is good, but, Im not spending $ with someone that's rude.
If you enjoy good island food then make sure they give you attitude and are dismissive. At least that's the stereotype. The food is good but the communication is terrible. Why ask me if i want a large plate, wait for my answer, and then when i say that's what i want they say they DON'T HAVE IT. Then WHY ASK??? One guy seems to hate his job, with the way he takes this time moving around. I get it, you had a long day. But customer service and appeal will bring you much further. It seems they only rely on their food being good, therefore they can behave any way they want. If you want good food, visit. Just hope they actually have what they advertise
